In January 2009, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Regional suggested representatives from the American Red Cross-Outagamie Chapter, Bethany Home, Inc., Clarity Care, and Fox Valley Lutheran Homes meet to discuss the potential for a partnership effort to meet the needs of the elderly and disabled in Outagamie County.

In February 2009, the concept of "Living with Assistance"
was developed to provide the elderly and disabled in our community access to vital services in a cost effective manner and enable these clients to stay in their homes. This will prevent unnecessary hospital visits and relocation to an institutional setting.

Funding for the Living with Assistance partnership has been granted with generous help from the Basic Needs Partnership supported by the U.S. Oil Open Fund for Basic Needs with the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, and the J. J. Keller Foundation, Inc.
